Built for the Festival of Britain and officially opened in 1951, The Royal Festival Hall is a mecca for fans of all things British and midcentury. The futuristic themes of space and science, and bold, primary colours were the starting point for the atomic and crystalline patterns, as well as sources as diverse as Formica and DNA.
